There is a place in my heart. Everyone has one, I guess. A place full of peace or full of good memories. Something like a “buen retiro” as they say in spanish.
My favourite place in Italy is NOLI, a wonderful small country in Liguria, north Italy.
I began to visit Noli when I was a child with my parents. And I’m continuing spending my free time there. I love wake up early and go on the beach waiting for the sun. I like have breakfast in a bar in front of the sea. I like to read in the silence or talk with friends.
Noli was a “repubblica marinara” (republic of the sea), full of history. Now just 3000 inhabitants live there. A quite relaxed place for holiday with family or friends.
Good food and good wine; the castle; San Paragorio (the old romanic church); the beach of saylors (you can buy fresh fish every morning); the old centre and the tower are the attractions. Don’t loose the sunset on the beach.
